hey guys this is my first tutorial so go easy, i was looking through big W to find a tek 6 so i brought it. when i took it home i discovered the ranges were Sh*t and the barrels would not take stream lines or stefans neither did the buzzbee darts fit well either, so i decided to do a hep20 barrel replacement and this is how i did it.

    materials:
    a saw or dremil
    540mm of hep20
    scalpel or Stanley knife
some kind of glue i used pvc super glue
    screw driver
    course sand paper

open up the gun a remove the turrent, its easy to do. and yes the rotating mechanism is apart of it and can not be removed. the turrent is molded together so dont try pulling it apart.

now you will see the barrels will slightly shape bigger in the middle, you will want to cut the barrels of there note, you can not cut right through you have to cut around the middle piece other wise you will screw up the whole turrent.(keep both pieces, as it can come in handy later)

next get your hep20 cut into 6 x 90mm pieces, now get your scalpel or Stanley and shave down about 10mm of your hep20 and sand it until its smooth and its a nice tight fit into your piece of turrent, do this to all 6 pieces

now fit all 6 pieces tightly into your turrent and glue them all up. (if they are to tight sand some more of, you only want firm fit because the glue will seal it up)

now your second peice of turrent comes in, grab it and force it on to the end of your barrels dont worry if it cracks you can fill them in and clean it up nicely with some type of putty (your choice)

put all your gun back together and your ready for paint.

    here's my end result.

I've realised why Buzzbee Air blasters are so underpowered compared to Nerf... It's because the barrel in a buzzbee tek 6, tek 10 are extremely loose for the dart to fit... meaning ALOT of blowby (air escaping around the projectile)occurs and with your mod It will shoot much much better! btw did you use just your run of the mill PVC pipe (13mm)?

I'm actually contemplating to buy one because their cheap and if you look at the but of the gun... it looks like a perfect place to place a stock on! (I like using a stock because makes shooting feel more comfortable). Btw great work! going to use your idea thanks to you :).

Thanks bud, im glad some one's going to get something out of this. your stock idea seems great, i could imagine a buzzbee double shot stock attached to it, something along those lines would look trick! as far as the pipeing im unsure of the diameter, but its called hep20leap. i brought it at bunnings for $2.30 a meter. and its a perfect fit for streamlines.

The buzzbee stock would be convenient actually because it can hold 4-6darts in the back of the stock.

I was thinking more of the lines of implementing an aluminum made stock with tubes and then made be a curve into the butt of the stock... it's just because the tek 6 looks like it has a place where you can chuck the stock on (that round bit at the back of the gun).

Once that I think about it you could make perhaps like a Nerf Firefly Stock so it can hold rounds on the stock... then you'll have a 6shot Firefly Nerf gun rip off! if you look at it... it kind of looks like like a firefly. similar shape.
