i have a longshot and a recon spring in mine and it gets great ranges with ar removed
as for mavrick the spring itself doesnt have a housing so it will be very hard to get 2 springs to work

The Mav spring in a Longshot will do absoultly nothing. If you wanna replace the spirng, take out the Longshot spring and put in a model no. C-836 spring, purchased from bunnings.
If u find the right size spring for a mav (like me) you can ad it but you need to re-enforce the cocking rod.
