Nerf Tactical Vest Modification

So lets face it, the Nerf tactical Vest was not made to worn by males with broad shoulders and a wide chest, Or females with a large chest size.

This simple mod should help with that problem.

Items Needed:

* Vest
* Black Thread
* Needle
* 1 Metre of hook and loop velcro
* Scissors
* Ruler


Lets get started.



The first thing you want to to is cut 4, 10cm strips of loop velcro and attach 1 strip to each of the hook velcro straps on the vest.


You then need to cut 4 strips of hook velcro and attach a strip to each exposed 5.5cm of loop velcro that you had attached in the previous step. Make sure to attach it just under the orange tab as it sits perfectly next to the original velcro strap.


Now this step is optional but adds just that little bit more hold to the velcro straps and is not permanent if you don't need it to be.

Just sew the little orange tab to the two velcro strips that pass under it. 2 to 3 loops through the material will do.


Now you can adjust the size of the vest to account for all types of people.

It really is that simple.

That was the first time i really wore it for more then 2 minutes, and after playing a few rounds i found it to be really tight. So when ever i stretched or breathed in the velcro ripped a little more till if finally detached. At the war the velcro was only just hanging on, about 0.4mm was hooked and looped on each strap.

With the extra velcro i now have an extra 1.5 inches and it fits really well. I can even fit a camel pack under it.

tl;dr

The vest was uncomfortable and tight.

Thank you LB. I will be revising this mod very soon as i have another idea to make the vest just that little bit better. There are a couple of little things that annoy me that need fixing.
