    Hey guys,

Finally gone out and bought a drop-leg holster, just for research purposes.

It's pretty good quality for the $13 price tag. Just fits a Maverick. Will take a Spectre, Wipeout and NF fairly easily, but a barricade doesn't quite fit. With a bit of hook and loop velcro though, it would fit rather well. Has alot of adjustments to secure your pistol, attaches directly to a belt, with two leg straps. I'm a fairly big guy, and the top leg strap just fits, so should be suitable for most people. Only one colour, but what more can you ask for the price? The material and stitching seem to be rather good, but field-testing is something that I haven't tried yet.

    Available from Deal Extreme:

These look pretty good. I'm currently looking for a good drop-leg holster. Will definitely buy one of these.

To be honest, I haven't taken out my side arm that often at all. Out of the 5 wars I've been to from what I can remember, I've only pulled it out three times. I only see myself using a sidearm if I'm using a clip system blaster or if my blaster jams.

For $13 it's just a fun thing to have, it doesn't matter if you aren't going to use it much, it just looks cool.

    Yeh,

Synergie and Myself have this holster in a black version. I think Synergie made a thread about it.

Perfect fit for a spectre, and a slot to hold ~3 darts.

    It's not to shabby.

We got ours from ebay, for the same-ish price.

I use the same style holster but black, as shown in this video.

I found the perfect pistol for it: Sharpshooter II. Wipeouts and Elements fit nicely too. Ridiculous as it may sound, my Max Shot fits inside perfectly too. As shown in the first picture, don't bother trying to use the holster for a Mav (I'm wanting to buy one if anyone knows what holster design to look for).

I wonder how coyote brown will look with US 3-color desert (probably badass)...

This one actually fits the mav quite well SS, you just need to tilt the handle back a little when you draw it out, due to the rounded screw port under the barrel.

But, yeh, it could be better.

I learned from experence last saturday that it can be secure as heck and still fail during the matches. Smaller weapons are fine in these things (Scouts and NFs, and what have you) but some of the larger sidearms (Mavs and Specs.) Actually have the weight at a run to pull the velcro apart, which results in the holster flipping over upside down. Nothing cable ties along the bottom water holes can't solve, but it's food for thought... Also, a belt is a must with these things, it's about the only solid way to hold it up.

Some field test data for ya.

I bought one of these and used it at the last Sydney war.
Actually used it to holster my... Wait for it...

    Alpha Trooper

It worked really well. And while i only used the alpha trooper once or twice, it felt good wearing it.

    My 2 cents.
