I only got it yesterday so i haven't had the chance to rip out the restrictors yet.

Range: about 7 metres, 10 with a good dart.
Rate of fire is insane! it has the regular cock/fire type mode and it has slam fire. Slam fire is where you hold down the trigger and pump the handle as quick as you can. This empties 35 darts rather quick.

The drum mag can hold 37 darts without any problems.
The mag is very solid and does not bend.
With some simple shaving and cutting the mag can be put the other way around. so it will be easier to handle.

The whole blaster is very light and easy to move around.

Overall so far i'd give it a 3/5. that may go up once it is modded. Indoor nerfers will love this one for it's great rate of fire.

Oh, and longshot owners will cream themselves when they put the raider's mag on it. i know i did!!

Thanks for the review Chaos, I know i'm very keen to get a close look at one I think there's a new gun at the top of my Nerf "must-have" list, have you got a recon? if so would you mind seeing if the magazine fits? when I had a look at the vid on youtube I thought it might and now you say it fits the longshot i'm really exited to see if putting that motha-sucka on a recon would work!!

I'm pretty sure the drum mag will work in a recon. They did design it to fit into all existing clip blasters. But I just wanna see a picture of it. A drum fed recon would look truly badarse.

Anyway, I think the raider would be great for rushing. Probaly even better that a Magstrike. The magstrike has the insane fire rate, but you can run out of air very quickly, so if you do miss, you're screwed. Where as the raider is slower, but you don't have to worry about air.

On the back of the raider box there is a picture of the recon and yellow longshot with the mag in it.

Yeah i think it will be a rusher's gun but everyone with any gun with range will take them out before they get close enough!

The ranges that it gets are poor. I'm yet to remove the restrictors but i think the recon spring is bigger.

I'm very happy with my Raider and can confirm, with much fan-boy squeeing, that the drum mag fits the Recon.

There's a serious Warhammer 40K vibe when adding it to the pistol-only looking Recon mode.

Yeah I get the same vibe. The Raider looks good although they do go on a bit about the "Digital camo." I'm getting one for my bd.
