Prometheus - Movie Discussion

So who has seen Ridley Scott movie "Prometheus", the non prequel prequel to Alien? It seems to have polarized the fan community to a degree, but I have to say I completely loved it and I am a total Alien / Aliens fangirl.

Who saw it and what did you think?

It was really good!

Parts did seem a little flimsy like the fact that hey didn't tell anyone where they were going until they got there. They also didn't set any protocols when they landed they just raced of into the middle of the "temple". One last one how the geologist guy who scanned the whole place and had the map on his wrist thingy got LOST! There were many more if you paid attention to detail and if you had seen the original alien movie.
But over all it was an amazing movie

Thanks Lil Bro.. I think if anyone reads under something that says SPOILER in caps they're a bit of a numpty personally, so if they do that and it is ruined it's thier fault and not the fault of the poster if they have warned the reader in capitals PRIOR to posting anything spoilerish.

Regardless I'll use the Others from now on if that's the 'rule'.. didn't even know it was there, not that I posted any spoilers in my post anyway.

Haha, I didnt' even know it was there either until that came up. I won't be watching the movie anyway, I'm just more worried for other members.

When I first saw the trailer, it looks like a Aliens remake..

in some parts it is very simmilar to The Alien franchise

The reason it looks so similar is because 1: It is directed by Ridley Scott, who did all the other Aliens franchise and 2: because it's a prequel. So no, not a remake, or a homage, but a prequel.

although ridley scott said that it ISNT a prequel to the aliens series. it does have a whole lot to do with the aliens series but its not meant to be a direct prequel to it.

I enjoyed it, it was deep.

But I'm still waiting for that ultimate sci fi movie to blow my mind.

I've given up waiting for "Iron Sky" to come out.

I have actually found "Iron Sky" as a torrent somewhere, I cant seem to find any 'legal' ways to watch it though... pity.
