Hey I just realized that my profile is almost exactly the same as KingCam's... I'm doing a cert 2 in IT, I mod/ play with nerf guns a lot, and I enjoy playing video games. Soon to be employed. Ahhh... does anyone else have a doppelganger or whatever? And yes, a doppelganger is a lookalike, not someone with the same online stats but whatever, I thought it was interesting. And something else - does anyone have a mod they really want to do but cant or wont for whatever reason? And does anyone know someone who uses only stock guns, with stock bullets? Just a point of interest, I know my brother does.

Since you ask, yes. My uncle and cousins play a lot of dart tag. My cousins are only little, so they couldn't do any modding. But as yet my uncle hasn't been bothered by mods. Off the top of my head I think they have a few Sharp Shots, a couple of Mavericks, a Hawkeye BBB, a couple of Magstrikes and a Stampede.

Myself, I like modding blasters to get more power out of them, but I'm not really patient enough to mod darts. The way I see it, modding darts is only going to gain you accuracy, and it's going to cost you a lot of time if you want to do a reasonable amount of darts. Eventually I'd like some darts more accurate than Streamlines, but then I'll probably just get a whole load of Elite Darts. But hey, that's just my 51 cents.

    Also, nice name. TNG FTW!

Yeah I feel the same way about the darts - I only ever play inside the house anyway, so range/accuracy isn't a big thing for me.
And thanks about the name - my fav character is Geordi and my real name is Jourdan, so I thought I'd combine them, to satisfactory results. And your 51 cents was worth that in 2007 - any idea how much it is worth now?

This is why in Brisbane and Sydney we use the dart hire system. Sure you don't get to keep the darts (you can purchase them afterwards at Brisbane Wars, not sure about Sydney), but you'll get the accuracy, there'll be a plentiful supply of them (I provide somewhere between 2000-3000) darts. And only costs $10-$15 a day. Which is half the price of laser skirmish and significantly cheaper than paintball.

If you mod your blasters right they fly great.

I might add that informer darts that littlebro is referring to are a must for outdoor wars with modded blasters, but if it's a stock only event or an indoor war you could very easily get by with stock darts.

I'm also one of those impatient types though so I buy the hire darts when I go to wars now.

That's a great idea - hiring out the darts. If I ever get to one of your wars, I would almost certainly hire some - the stock darts are absolute rubbish outside. For inside though, they only need to fly like 10m max, so like rolley said, that isn't a problem.

We use stock darts only here in Canberra. We have plenty of guys who only run stock blasters.
