Is nobody nerfing anymore?

I've been totally out of it for 3-4 months whilst attending to more pressing matters, and I can't help but notice it's gone very quiet out there in Nerf land..

It seems all the forums are pretty steady these days, especially this one.

Did something happen like airsoft became legal (God I wish) or something like that?

I'm still about pretty regularly. Will post walk throughs when I feel the need.

Can't say it's much quieter than it's been in recent years.

Most people have moved to facebook groups. Which BTW have been far more active than here ever was IMHO

FB groups are useless for previous information though. I don't get the attraction.

Yeah, I'm not into facebook.

It might be my age, or it just might be that all of a sudden I've got all these people I've never met or heard of wanting to be my friend and none of them are hot chicks.

Ohh I'm all for FB, it's great for many things. Just not as forum replacement.

I still dont get the whole FB thing. Yes i have a profile, but i dont get how anyone could actually want too write what they are actually doing everytime they log in, or how they can stay connected too FB all day, there is nothing too do there, just more bloody reading, I HATE reading, i want too burn every book on the earth. Libraries serve a great purpose for a combustion heater, just toss another volume/book in there too keep you warm. Could be an age thing too.

It's early days yet, I've never used Facebook before so I'm still learning. I'm trying to figure out how attract attention without spending money. Eventually (if successful) there'll be Nerf wars, mod workshops, sell 'n' swaps and general meet-ups.

Any advice would be appreciated.

So after watching a whole bunch of HvZ videos (in America) on youtube, I decided to see if there were any nerf events going on down here in Brisbane, so I googled it and lo and behold I stumbled upon this wonderful forum.
Robert, I liked your facebook page and I am really hoping it gets the ball rolling, because I would really like to see some wars here in Brisbane!

https://www.facebook.com/groups/BrissieNerf/ - This is the forum we have on facebook. It's kind of died down since recent times because I went on a 6month hiatus due to uni last year, which really killed the interest in Nerfing. I host private wars now.

https://www.facebook.com/SEQLAS?fref=ts - These  guys host wars every month. You can see that they get quite alot of attendees. They host indoor wars at $15pp from 9:30AM-3PM. They don't have a war next month, but the month after that  they do.

Yeah, it would be really great to see a nerf community in Brisbane and I am sure it would be a butt tonne of fun!
