    Hi All
I'm new to Nerf and am interested in learning about mods and giving it a go. Probably to old for this but hey it looks like fun

    Welcome!

When you say 'mods', are you interested in performance or cosmetic?

BTW - You're never to old!

    Thanks for the welcome
I'm keen to try my hand at both cosmetic and performance modifications.
I'm slowly getting my hands on some blasters and have so far got
    3x Longshot
    1x Vulcan
    1x Tommy 20
1x Raider(clear)- came with a Longshot, haven't looked into these yet.

There's a few others I'm keen to get later on

I'm a big fan of the Alpha Trooper (more reliable than the Raider).

Looks like you need a couple of single shots (i.e., Firestrike, Triad and Jolt are reasonable out of the box, Nitefinder responds well to adding springs) and maybe a Stryfe (or Rayven) for overvolting.

That should give you a reasonable choice of blaster types to cover most game types.

I went crazy and bought a bunch of springs from Orange Mod Works (OMW) as well as a few of the upgrade kits for the original N-Strike series blasters (Long Shot, Recon, Longstrike, Alpha Trooper).

I've also recently bought a bunch of replacement motors to experiment with a couple of Stryfes and I have.

If you want some decent sidearms, try getting a Nite Finder and a Strongarm. Put a C836 spring from Bunnings in the Nite Finder and the NF spring into the strongarm. The NF will shoot lasers and the strongarm will also be pretty powerful.

    Cheers guys

I got the Tommy just because I like the way they look painted and modded. The raider came with the others, I won't be doing anything with that.
I'd like to get the Stryfe and Rapidstrike still not sure on what else ill grab yet as I'm new to this.
I now have a longstrike also
Now I just have to have a go at the mods

If your not going to use the raider, the spring might be useful for one of the Longshots.

BS. The internals are the same.
It's just a choice of which grip and clip position you prefer.

    Welcome Tony.

@Jeo - I'm pretty sure the AT has a 'flap' dart tooth instead of the old 'pop up' one the raider has, and that might affect jamming
