Blaming my daughter for all this....... Hahaaa!
She got me in to all this when shes asked for a Nerf Blaster..... a Heatbreaker Bow for her birthday. She now also has a Guardian Xbow.
Me well. Initially got a Retaliator to battle with my daughter, but eventually curiosity came in my head and I pulled it apart, replaced plunger spring and some other little mods. I was amazed with the difference it made.
I've got and electrical background so the electric motorized flywheel blasters took my fancy. Along came the Rapidstrike and Stryfe. The Stryfe is fully rewired using larger gauge wire. All the electrical locks removed as well as the mechanical locks. Resistors have been removed off the stock motors as well as the thermistor. Running this on Ultrafire 14500 batteries and one dummy at the moment as they are an easy pop in. The Rapidstrike is not completely done yet. Still has the stock wiring, but I've removed some electrical locks and little things here and there. It is running on a 7.2V NiMH battery pack and shoots quite well. I've got some RM2 motors sitting here now so I'll put them in some time.
I just tried to post some photos of our blasters, but can't at the moment. 7 days? Oh well.
