You could do it if you were willing to cut into the shell where the light goes then it would sit back further, but I wonder if it would have much air leaked/wasted.

OctoShot!?
So I was wondering why SilentScope wanted a Speedloader turret and rotation mech for and I think I finally know why. I only stumbled on this by chance on NerfHQ, and I foudn this guy who made converted a Quadshot into and Octoshot. What amazes me the most is that it auto-rotates each time you pump the handle! Now that's innovative.
I was always contemplating this idea, although...
1. Never got the time to attempt it
2. If I did try it, I would of owned it :(.
3. I suck... sometimes.

You mean it took you over four months to figure out why I kept making the same post in the WTB thread, lol?
Don't worry peoples, you'll see one done here within a week.

Technically it only took me a few days. Due to the fact that I wasn't really thinking about it until I saw that LOL. But, interpret it as you will. It's too late for you to be call it the 'first' now though :(.

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
I would like to see a twin pump integration on a Titan. Either for a double shot, or one big blast.
Silent-I'm doing a ASTS also, and using the turret from an ASDB.
Very impressive, but alot of reinforcment needed. Will be fun to mod.
I would love to do this to a Nite Finder.
Anyone know what kind of pump it would be?

Based on the diameter of the tube, the Australian equivalent would be a 25mm pressure PVC tube with a bathplug head.boosted6 wrote:Anyone know what kind of pump it would be?

Ooh bath plug head, interesting.
What blaster is that pictured?
The air seal on that NF is fantastic.

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
I tried the speed loader first. It doesn't fit properly. But good luck.

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
The gun where makeitgo takes the turret from I think is more common here in Australia than the Speedloader. Cheaper too.

Hey MIG is on our forum!
I have subbed to MIG's youtube channel, great and funny videos.
Yep, i'm doing an Octo-Shot, got everything here.
I found a stock recon spring fits the stock TS spring perfectly.
So will try both of them together and see what happens...

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
Okay, So I've done the 5 cent coin mod (Sliding 5 AU 5 cent coins behind the spring in a Maverick) and was taking a look at my brother's RC Cars. I noticed that the springs on the shock absorbers have similar dimensions to the Maverick's stock springs. Soon (hopefully) I'm going to dremel out a little bit of the '+' behind the plunger so another spring will fit in.

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
Whoa dude 5 5c coins is overdoing that!
Max 3 coins or your plunger just won't fit.

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
Coin mod is pointless... after a while the ranges will return t what they were before your just shrinking the spring.

What other cheap alternatives does one have?

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
Petg barrels are relatively cheap as you only need just over a foot of Petg and coupled with a seal redo you could get some okay ranges.
Throw in a new spring and you've got a decent pistol.

I hear PETG barrels in the Mav don't really make all that much difference.

As I would assume. The dart fit well enough in its stock barrels...

Re: Mod Ideas Thread
The issue is making a longer barrel. But of course with that column in the front that makes it hard.
