Hi all, been a while.
I finally purchased a Rapidstrike today, been wanting to get one since last year. Got it at Toyworld Runaway Bay, on the Gold Coast, for $59.99 (Ouch, seeing as I saw them before Christmas on target.com.au for iirc $37, with either home delivery or in-store pickup). The Target in the same shopping center is another $10 on top of that, and Target AU Online says out of stock.
Long story short, I'm looking for a mod guide for it, that has a rewire section and uses either NiCd or NiMH batteries, and a place to get new motors if needed for it.
If someone can help me with this search, I would be happy. I have looked in the Nerf Mods Directory, and it seems there isn't a guide there. Among other sites, I've looked at HvZ's thread "Understanding and Modding the Rapidstrike", Brit Nerf's thread "Rapidstrike CS-18: AMA and Mod Guide", and torukmakto4's blog post "Standard Rapidstrike, an illustrated guide.". I've looked at those sights, and read them over and over, but can't make heads or tails of the posts. I have someone able to help with the wiring parts, but if the both of us can't make heads or tails of a simple to follow, definitive guide, then what chance do I have of modding it?
