    The Big List of Nerf War Ideas - Page 5 Empty CTF Variations

    I've been doing nerf wars with 6-8 friends for years and we've experimented with some different forms of Capture the Flag, so I'll post some of the games we've tried and how fun they were.

    Traditional:
    Break into two teams and divide your battlefield in half, and each team must pick an area to be their base. Each team gets one flag to hide (must be hidden on your side of the battlefield) The object is to find the opponent's flag and bring it back to your base. If a player is hit, they must return to their base and count to a predetermined number. If hit while carrying the flag you must immediately drop the flag, which then becomes fair game. The team who's flag it is can only put it back in the spot where it was originally hidden. This one is a classic but can go for a very long time and get pretty boring after a while if neither team can find the other teams flag.

    3 Flag CTF:
    Same as traditional, except each team gets 3 flags and you tell the other team where each of those flags are. The first team to capture all three of the opponents flags and return them to their base wins. This game takes the focus off of searching for the flag and onto just trying to battle your way to it and back without getting hit. It's a lot more fun in my opinion, this is the version we play the most.

    3 Way CTF:
    In this version you divide into 3 teams with 3 separate bases. Each team gets 1 flag and everyone knows where it is placed. To win you must bring all three flags back to your teams base. The kicker is that once a flag is captured it's not safe unless you have all three, the other teams will attempt to recapture it. There's no limit to how many times a flag can change hands. You can only capture one flag at a time, so if you run into an enemy base and they have two flags you can only take one. We've only done this game once but it was a blast, lots of action and lots of strategy required for your team to win.

    I have a couple of ideas I've used in the last couple of wars.

    first is a kind of sniper hold out type game, where you'll have 2-4 "snipers", each with a longer range blaster like longshots (or max force shadow hawks) and also one other blaster of choice in case of over-run. Snipers have high ground, like a balcony with one or two entrances, where they can duck behind something to reload, but can't leave the balcony to collect darts, only the darts fired at them. that attacking team (4-8 players) use anything other than long range blasters and have unlimited respawns, but must return to base once tagged to continue. snipers cannot "respawn" and the game ends when all snipers are tagged. it's pretty fun because both teams need to work closely together to either spot attackers, or over run the snipers. the game gets very fast near the end, when the attackers get a little more gutsy and the snipers start scrambling for what little ammo there is. This one is actually pretty fun for max force snipers, the limited ammo adds a tougher element to the game.

    second, is a kind of engineer support. one team protects a base and the other team protects an "engineer" who has some form of rocket firing blaster like a Nerf Titan. both teams can have limited or unlimited respawns. Engineer team wins if they can successfully get their engineer in position to hit the base with the rocket, defenders win if the engineer runs out of rockets.

    I haz an idea that I put a lot of thought into(nah, not really, tried it one day.Purty fun.)

    Okay. EPICNESS RANDOMNESS EPIC RANDOM DRAW GAME!

    You heard me right. EPICNESS RANDOMNESS EPIC RANDOM DRAW GAME!

    Basically: Everyone starts at some point outside the playign area(playing area must be big, have forms of cover, obstructuons, whatnot. No goign straight.) Eveyrbody starts with no weapons. Weapons are placed in little hidden 'depots' in the playing area. When the game starts, everybody goes looking for depots. Kinda like a treasure hunt. Totally random weapons. Things like nitefinders to stampedes., Nice little element of chaos. Then just deathmatch.

    Another one. EPICNESS TERRITORIAL GOOD-THINGS-COME-TO-THOSE-WHO-WAIT GAME!

    You know in games how they have territories? Like the team thta controls the msot territories wins the game? This is basically like that, but with a twist. More than two teams usually play. and the 'territories' are actually locked crates. The team/s that is/are off will assign one person to monitor a particular territory. Inside the crate is a depot of blasters, ammo, grenades etc. See? Good things come to those who wait. The person watchign a territory always has a stopwatch. The territory itself is a 3 meter circle. Once one team is in complete control of the territory, meaning no enemies within the circle, the stopwatch starts. You can adjust the time all you want. Say, for example, if the stopwatch runs for one minute for red team, red team gets the key to the locked crate. Or, if the stopwatch runs for 20 seconds in a really tight playing area the team gets the key. At the end of the game, the team with the most territories within its possession wins. Don't be fooled though; you still have to stay at the territory even if you've unlocked it to gain a point. No running off with the loot, you damn pirate!

    Got some new ones....

    Alpha zombies.
    The game starts just as a normal HVZ, but , if you get tagged you become a normal zombie, a normal zombie cannot tag a human to kill them, they must pull a bandana off a belt or something like that. Each human gets two bandanas on a belt. If you get a bandana of Freddy's belt, you cannot take another one for that round off Freddy's belt.




    Seige ( big, big war)

    30 vs 30 maybe

    You need a house!

    The attacking team need to infiltrate the safe house and capture the HVT inside, however, the only way in is through the locked door.

    The defnding team can have say, 5 people ( more or less if you want) outside, guarding that door.
    The leader of the guards( distinguished with a bandana) has the key to that door. When he is killed he must give the key to his killer.

    Now the intense part....

    The attacking team can now spawn at the door, and caps ensues as 60 fight in a narrow hallway, through the rooms sweeping, the house, trying to find the HVT.
    But once the door is open, you only get one life.
    If your on the defnding team you must go to the back of the house, if your attacking the front.

    When the HVT gets taken out of the building, he blows a whistle, which means reinforcements. All the dead people Respawn and surge in, trying to stop the attackers from abducting the HVT



    HVT CANNOT DIE, but can kill. Once he is captured ie shot 3 times etc. ( be imaginative ) he must drop his gun and go with his captor.


    Very, very, very rough idea that I just thought of on the spot, might be having a war in the next week or so( only 12 of my mates) and will post revised game plans.

    Hey there, i dont know if any one has posted these game up yet but i recently had a bucks party to plan, no one wanted to go paint balling..to expensive same as laser skirmish. previously i had been modifying the maverick and a few other guns painting them up and so on, so i thought if every one wanted a cheap buck then here it is...a nerf bucks party where the darts are reusable and they cost so little, although some of the guys were 30+ they still had an awesome time shooting the guns around the place and mucking around for a bit until we hit up the war games, i wrote them up for a bucks party so ignore all the drinking part of it...

    Game types:
    Capture the flag : pretty straight forward, two or three teams, who have to have all flags in thier base. first team to have "scored" 3 rounds wins the match!- 5 respawns per person
    Assault: two teams, one team defends the fort where as the other team attacks the base, aim of the game is to get in and steal the skull then return it to the respawn point. first team to complete this in 20 mins wins the match, then its reversed in teams.- unlimited respawns
    Escort: you have to escort the buck from one base to the other, the buck has no weapon and is defenseless.- 3 respawns for the defending team 5 respawns for the assaulting team.
    Sabbotage: two teams, Assaulting team has to plant a bomb in the defending team's base, the planter will be marked with a sash, if he is taken out game over, defending team has to either stop the bomber from planting the bomb or defuse it, only one person can defuse it, the one person who can defuse the bomb will be marked with a sash, if the bomb defuser has been wiped of all his lives, then there has to be two people to defuse the bomb.- 5 respawns per person
    Death Match/ Team D.M: its a fight to the death!, well until last man standing, or last team standing - 3 respawns
    Rules of the War:
    1. deaths: dramatic deaths are favoured, i mean if you get shot flailing in the air screaming or just plain fall to the ground yelping anything like that, you dont have to but it mkaes it more fun for others if you do, if you have been killed your body can be looted, but to loot you have to drop, meaning if you pick up a gun then you drop a gun, also if you have just finished reloading your gun and you get shot, dont unload your clip your darts wont count. if you die and dont want to lose your gun...tough its the penalty of being shot. also honesty is the key, with most games no one likes a cheater, and if no one can decide as to who dies and who doesnt then you are both punished with an alcohol shot of my choosing, trust me you dont want this shot, i vomited instantly upon shooting. Prizes will be given out to the best death, which will include either something for the person or a punishment of their choice for the buck, prizes are based on each match of each game so there will be more then one winner.
    2. respawning: once shot and have died, give it a few seconds get up and return to your respawn point with your gun up in the air or hands up in the air, so we dont think your still alive and burst out and pump a clip on you to realise that your going back to respawn point and are in need of a reload, people who fail to do so will be punished with an alcohol shot of my choosing. we will decide as to where the respawn point will be on the day.
    3. ammo: please please please dont take all the ammo and stuff them in your pockets! yeah take some but dont go nuts and fill every single pocket in your cargo pants, then no one will have any ammo and the game will come to a sudden stop. i have ammo boxes that will be placed in each base so use that ammo, if your raiding the other base of their ammo, its a good idea but thats probably not the mission objective that you've been given, so please focus, and dont steal.
    4. shooting: i will tell you now, if you shoot me in the face ill be shooting you back in the face, so if you dont want to be shot in the face then dont shoot other in the face, even if you have a perfect shot that will get someone else that it just so happens to be thier head or face for this matter, and it hits them in the eye, it really does put a damper on the whole game/experience, i know they are only nerf darts but they do actually hurt, dont believe me try it its not fun (not recomended).
    5. weapons: one gun per person, i dont have an armory of guns at my disposal, so take one and one only, dont take a vulcan and then a micro pistol just in case you have to reload and get attacked, every gun has their strengths and weaknesses so choose carefuly. if you dont like the gun you have then shoot someone who has a gun that you want to use...if you kill them, if you have a sheild and some one has been shot if you get to the person before they do you can loot and drop your shield for thier gun.
    6. reloading: like any war there is no B.A.R, if your in the middle of reloading and you get shot to bad, your dead. if by chance you just reloaded your gun and someone shoots you, its a bonus for them even if they take you gun and give you one with none. when your reloading your gun, dont stuff the darts in and hope for the best, make sure you have the right ammo for the right gun, also if you stuff the darts in some of the guns they wont shoot properly, its get really annoying trying to shoot someone when the darts wont come out and your left being shot at, take your time with it.

    i had also put up stuff about the guns, you know info for all of the guns for people who hadnt heard of nerf guns before
    also had ideas for grenades by using the nerf vortex's, there were ups and downs, ups it gave the war a bit more intensity, downs too many people would play fair with them, and would argue that they hadnt been hit by it or be in its radius of impact so on and so on, so im not sure about the whole idea of it but i dont know what are your thoughts.

    I'm 24 and i usually have a war every so often with my mates and they still seem to enjoy the whole war and battling each other, but if we could get like a communal war that happens every 3 months or something i wouldn't mind traveling to places to battle it out with other people.

    Ramp attak at Geebung near brisbane is an indoor skatepark inside a warehouse that does do private sessions, and I'm fairly sure they wouldn't care about a bunch of people running around with nerf guns rather than bikes and skateboards in the session. problem is, you'd need a fair amount of people (40+)to make it affordable as far as I know.

    I recently had an idea for a war. It is called WWII and each team has guns that look like that specific army (Allied Forces, Nazis respectively). Each army has a leader. Nazis have Hitler as their leader and the Allied Forces have the Prime Minister (can't remember his name, I'll have to look it up).

    It is basically all out war until one army is out of troops. Each side has a base where they can store guns, munitions, etc. A good amount of troops for an army would be 30-35.

    Tell me what you think about it!

    Rules

    2:1 hit, your dead. Honor system needed.

    3:Infinite respawns

    "Materials"

    Nerf guns depending on amount of players
    2 big boxs (bombs)
    2 timers

    Location

    A house, team 1 in front, team 2 in back

    Set-up

    Put 1 "bomb" in front and back, put timer on top of box

    Objective

    Your team has to get to enemy "bomb" and set timer to 30 seconds, if the timer goes of the bomb blows their base up and you win! (Vise-Versa for the other team)

    Hope you enjoy this, it is my most fav. nerf game to play with my friends.

    Infiltration CTF

    Rules
    1:Teams will be split in a 1:2 OR 1:3 Ratio
    The team with the least players are the defenders, and the team with the most are quite obviously the attackers.

    2: The defenders have a "safe zone" where the Flag is kept. This is also their spawn point.
    The attackers have a separate spawn point, preferably far away.

    3:Point system.This way the game can last an infinite amount of time, allowing for customization.
    After every x seconds/minutes/hours the Defenders get a point. If the attackers retrieve the Flag and take it to their spawn they gain a point, and the defenders will not get a point the next time x seconds/minutes/hours Pass.

    4:Defenders are allowed as much weaponry as they like, and any weapon. However, if leaving the spawn camp they must abide by the attackers constant gun rule: A primary and a secondary*. Missiles and arrows are not allowed outside the base.

    5:Defenders are not allowed inside the attackers spawn, and must be at least y feet/meters away from it.

    (If you haven't learnt basic algebra, x and y are the letters I have used that replace unknown numbers. These you will set yourself)

    *Primary being Recon, Vulcan, etc. and Secondary being NiteFinder and Maverick, etc.

    Hope you like the idea, and I hope this isn't already in the thread and I had missed it.

    In these desperate times there is only one currency; one item that can mean the difference between life and death; one item that all people covert...

    Game Name: Scavengers.
    Game Type: Warmup.
    Recommended Game Length: 5-10 minutes (depending on number of players).
    Number of Players: As many as you like!
    Teams: Free for All (none).

    Player Equipment:
    Players can have any blasters and equipment they desire, there is only one exception to this rule, players start the game with 6 (and ONLY 6) darts (not socks or punisher shells or any other strange contraptions). Also, if their blaster requires it, an n-strike 6 dart clip may be taken too. No other ammo or clips are allowed (no extra 'hidden' darts).

    Field/Setup:
    The area of play should preferably be circular. All players setup around the outside of the circle evenly spaced apart marking the position where they start in some way (Eg: a cone). A single, full, N-strike 18 dart clip is placed in the center of the area of play.

    Darts and Pickup:
    Preferable all darts used in this game should be the same type (streamlines, stefans, elites, etc.) to allow all players to use them in their blasters. Darts can only be picked up whilst the player is 'alive'; picking up darts after you have been tagged is cheating.

    Getting Tagged and Lives:
    Any hit (body, backpack, blaster, etc) counts as a tag. Once you have been tagged you quickly count the darts you have in your possession (the ones loaded in your blaster too!):

    If you have less than 6 darts you are eliminated; you drop your remaining darts and clips on the ground where you were tagged and leave the area of play (preferably with your hands on your head).

    If you have 6 or more darts in your possession you keep 6 darts (plus a clip if your blaster needs it) and then drop the excess darts and clips on the spot you were tagged, put your hands on you head and head back to the place you started. Once you reach your start point you're back in the game.

    Victory Conditions:
    After the allotted time limit has elapsed, the surviving player with the most darts in their possession is the victor. If all other players are eliminated before the time limit has elapsed the last man standing is obviously the victor.

    4+people

    Split into 2 teams
    Decide Names
    Create a base for each team
    1 team has an eliminator that stays at base
    The team must go fight the other team(Minus eliminator)
    The other team may have some people stay at base or go but,at least 1 person has to attack
    The last person dead on the eliminators team yells when they die
    Then the eliminator comes and tries to kill the remaining players
    If the eliminator kills them switch teams
    If the eliminator dies,stay on same team and the team with the eliminator chooses a new eliminator
    Thats how you play

    Rules:Game 1

    One team has more than the other.
    One team must yell start and the game starts.
    If you get shot,your out,drop to the ground but you can still shoot and you can not move anywhere
    If some one revives you you are back in the game
    The last 2 people standing battle in three rounds
    Whoever wins 2 rounds wins along with their team

    Each team has a sniper that hides under a blanket or something else and tries to remain secret.
    The teams battle
    They must try to protect the sniper
    If the sniper is killed,the game is over and the team that still has the sniper alive,wins.

    1 Maverick

    Game Name:Reliablity
    Requirements:As many people you want,LOTS OF SPACE and of course,weapons.

    Rules:Each person has a "partner" that must protect them.You may only have 10 darts when you start however,if you find more during the game,you can pick them up.If your "partner" is killed,you are on your own and may not get another one.You are only able to walk unless you get a certain perk.

    Lives/Health:If you get shot,you are out.But,you are safe if you have more than 5 darts.You must relie on your partner to not get you out though.

    Perks:There are 3 perks,3 lives,Fast Run and 20 bonus ammo.3 lives is water,Fast Run is any kind of juice and 20 bonus ammo is chocolate,strawberry or regular milk.You may spread the perks throughout the map.YOU MUST DRINK THE DRINK/PERK TO HAVE THAT PERK.You are allowed to have more than 1 kind of perk.If you drink a perk,you must sat "Timeout!" and return it to a house/bench/building.



    Cheating Counts As......:

    Saying you drank a perk but didn't.
    Shooting your partner.
    Taking more than 10 darts at the begining.

    Requirements:2 or more timers depending on how many teams there is,2 boxes for each team,2 flags for each team.


    Rules:You must put a flag in each box.The other team/teams try to capture your flag.The first team to have both flags gone loses.This keeps going until 1 team is left.If your flags are captured your team may NOT go to the next round.Set your teams timer for 5:00 if your timer goes off,take 1 flag and give it to one other team,then set it for 5 more minutes.


    Lives/Health:If you are shot,you must sit out for as much time as everybody chose the time to sit out to be.IT MUST BE MORE THAN 1:00.


    What Counts As Cheating.....:

    Sitting out for less than 1:00.
    Not taking a flag out after your timer has gone off.
    Taking 2 flags at once.

    Ok,I have never played my games,I just make them up from many ideas.
    The game name-Operation Spy

    Rules-There is 2 spys. They must make it to the enemy base and steal a bag(ex.:Suitcase,Bin.)If the spys get shot,they lose.
