I listen to such a huge range of music that the list would be never ending. In my younger years i mainly liked electronic music at the harder end of the scale. These days music is music.

I listen to anything really aside from country music (there are some exceptions) and alot of rap. Also not too fond of the doofy music because it's mostly devoid of any musical tallent.
Some examples of my likes are:
Frenzal rhomb
Rammstein
NOFX (because no <Censored> straight edge that's why!)
Aphex twin
Daftpunk/Justice
Soundgardern/Nirvana
Children of bodem/borknagar
Johnny Cash
Nine inch nails
Jpop stuff
It goes on.

My playlist is pretty standard adult nerd music, except no foreign stuff and no game music, more indie and more metal. Plenty of ministry of sound and a very limited amount dubstep for running and making night shifts disappear. Y'all feel free to recommend me more drum/dubstep in the style of (good) skrillex and noisia.
I also have a fair bit of church music. Feels bad man, being the only person in the band who knows the material...

Lots of metal! The more obscure the better! So things like Eluveitie, Finntroll, Alestorm, Drop Kick Murphies etc. Also a lot of alternative and popular metal, things like Tool, Rammstein, Mudvayne, Escape the Fate, Bring me the Hairspray Horizon, Alesana and Bullet for my Valentine. I like softer stuff as well, like My Chem., Red Hot Chili Peppers, Interpol and Rise Against.

I hate music. I find it deafening and boring.

This thread isn't too old is it?
I love music. I listen to a lot of Progressive Metal/Rock.
I like:
Dream Theater, Symphony X, Alestorm, Spock's Beard, Epica, Metallica, Nightwish, William Shatner, Thy Majestie, The Megas, Shadow Gallery, Neil Young, Yngwie Malmsteen, Blind Guardian, Porcupine Tree, Kansas, Foreigner, Daft Punk and Infected Mushroom.
I also got my own band, and I'm working on recording some music.

My music is rather limited to Western hits before the 90's (because the mainstream kids of today listen to mostly rubbish), and music sourced from Japan.
This could be J-pop, Eurobeat, akiba/dempa/moe-pop (cute nonsense and generally catchy), anime/video game music or doujin (Japanese indie) music.
I am also partial to modern music styles with military, gothic, fantasy battle, or traditional instrumental elements.
Time for some Youtube music spam.
Eurobeat for the car, and it makes me drive more recklessly when it's on.
Popular tracks (helped by Initial D, the anime):
Akibapop examples:
There are no particular artists that I follow.
Perhaps Akiko Shikata and Nana Mizuki, judging by my recent tracklist additions.
Akiko Shikata (singer, songwriter and composer):
Nana Mizuki (singer, songwriter and a voice actress):
Voice acting Windows 7 mascot (yep, I'm running that OS on my computer and her theme too, for a while now):
Doujin music, similar to the Western indie music counterpart, where it is not a music style, but rather a self-published piece of music (ie. amateur/DIY music).
It could be an original piece or a remix/sampling of an existing piece.
Examples (I'm refraining from using Touhou or Vocaloid):

I'm not a big fan of Justin Bieber. Purely cause of jealousy which is the biggest thing ever. All of us have to work hard to survive in the world where as this kid who's balls havent' even dropped yet makes a fortunate in one song. It's abit sad really. + His music isn't really my style lol. Cody Simpson is alright though, I like his style of music more. Looks less of a legend too if you ask me! Haha.
Nana Mizuki - She's in a lot of anime I've seen! Can't really remember, some of her music is in my list of J-pop music XD.
Kina Grannis - Another cool half euro / half japanese guitarist - beautiful voice, guitaring is pretty average compared to other great names, although it's where I learned some of her stuff.
Angus and Julia Stone - my current favourite music artists, Folk and Classic = WIN.

I don't have any feelings for Justin Bieber, but I don't like a portion of his fanbase.littlebro05 wrote:I'm not a big fan of Justin Bieber. Purely cause of jealousy which is the biggest thing ever. Good on him for being able to exploit a significant number of people and let the money flow in legally.
I wouldn't mind having the ability to pull that off and disappear off into semi-retirement afterwards.
Some people are just lucky, and many of those people fail to capitalise on the moment, and go downhill afterwards.
On the other hand, royalties from music sales are really crap, as there are loads of people involved before the consumer gets their hands on it.
Probably why he's touring a fair bit, to rack up the cash while the hype is still around.
