This guide below is a guide to all the possibilities I have thought up in regards to the topic of Dart Creation. I have gone as far as creating my own foam to create the meanest most accurate and in some cases most adorable cute darts around. I have many more ideas which will be gradually added to this thread.

Global Materials List (A list of materials covered in this guide)

    1. Blue Foam or Pink Foam.
    2. Hot Glue Guns (High Temp 11MM)
    3. Glue Gun Glue Sticks (Available In a variety of colours, I do however stick to clear purely for quality)
    4. Heavy Tips/ Lite Tips and or Stinger Heads

if thats the case do you think that the same method only with a layer of epoxy putty or a bulb of hot glue would create a similar performance dart?

Yeah i agree, someone should sticky this. Or transfer it to the mods directory thread.

    ...Both would be better.

This is a really good write-up.

    Clear and easy to understand.

    I'm impressed man, top work.

there could be but if your not sure just take one of your current streamlines and the craft bead should fit in the hole in the bottom.

Those thumb tacks look alot like this guy Dart Creation Complete Guide Icon_wacko

The weights I use are Jarvis walker 00 split shot fishing weights. which are $5.50 for a pack of 200 at K-Mart. Works fantastic for guns designed to hit 60 feet+.

Hey i'm about to make a new batch of darts hopefully with a load of your blue foam and was wondering how heavy the weight should be for a 50m range. I've looked around and everyone just uses the same darts for all there guns and seeing as i dont want to fire these out of my longshot or nitefinder should i be using a much heavier wieght? if so about how heavy?

1.5 Grams would be ideal, 1/4" BB. This is what I use in my BBBB and works well.

    Hmmmmmmm, Have some questions.

1.Can you put stefans in a recon, longshot, deploy etc...?

2.Where do you get glow in the dark spray?

3.What sort of difference(range wise) is there between a streamline and a stefan?

Streamlines are only hampered by their weight, if the tip was heavier they would work great, I'm making a tip replacement which is heavier and the shape is slightly more optimized.

You can put stefans in your clip. This depends on three things the width of your foam, the length and whether you've removed the AR's.

BIGW for the glow in the dark stuff.

Hi, what weight would you recommend for spring guns. Im thinking craft beads but I need a second oppinion. I used jarvis walker weights but they weren't good in some of my guns.

Depends on how powerful your spring is. I find in stock springs you'll get better performance using a lighter weight, beads work well for that, but the more spring power you get the more weight you want to add to the front.

I've got a little side project going, replacing the internals of a BuzzBee Powerbow. Thing is an absolute piece of crap stock, but there's plenty of room on the inside for some modding, and the stock plunger is roughly the size of a nitefinder's, so I'm thinking an extended nitefinder plunger, and a c836 spring should do the trick...

...but all that is besides the point. Whilst testing it in stock form, I soon realised that flinging arrows around is an absolute blast, and I would like to be able to do so once the gun is all modded up.

Now, what would be a good size weight to use? Arrows are roughly 15cm long, by about 2cm wide maybe? I dont have the arrows handy, but that should be about right.

    Cheers

With the Blue tube, how do you make stefans with then? It's got a hole through the middle and I don't know how to put a weight in it without it just dropping through.

I was thinking maybe having a row of craft beads and hot gluing the holes and after it dries, put hot glue around the outside of the bead then put it into the blanks.
Then add the dome of glue on top.
    Please help.

Yeah basically like Foam Militia said...

    Glue
    Bead
    Glue

I use 8G X 20mm Countersunk Ribbed Head Phillip Head Screws... they weigh about .9g-1.0g each and what you do is you put a tiny bit of hot glue covering the hole (which should melt a little groove for you) then you place the screw in an dit should be very flush to the foam. Then you can can add your dome of glue, but I've discovered something MUCH better than domes of glues
